I want to tell you about my experiences with the amazing FUJI X System. Well, I started taking pictures as a professional photographer in 2009 with Nikon, because I fell in love with its TTL flash system. One day a friend of mine showed me the amazing x100s camera, and it was love at first sight!

Being a strobist, it was hard for me to move from the Nikon TTL system to Fuji natural light photography. It was a challenge. I went on Amazon to find a Fuji X-E1 and a ring lens adapter to use my Nikon lens on Fuji. The wait was exhausting but after 24 hours my first FUJI was in my hands.
While visiting various Fuji forums, I have seen the combination of the Nikon 105mm f/2.0 defocus lens with Fuji through metabones ring and it all seemed like a magic. I then started to photograph with this system in many different light situations, and I was a breeze. However, the lack of automatic autofocus was a pain and the choice was to take one Carl Zeiss lens. The Touit 32mm f/1.8 has an amazing sharpness and my pictures have totally changed their mood.
For a model photographer intimacy it is the most important part. Establishing a relationship of trust with the model is of vital importance, in a few minutes you have to shut down any traces of embarrassment and put your subject is at ease. Several times I heard the models themselves telling me: “we are like an engaged couple who takes intimate pictures”. The size of the Fujis is less overwhelming and does not invade the space of the subject.
X-T1 allow me to focus on the poses, style, the model ego. This is for me the essence of my photography.
