FujiLove Magazine – October 2021

· 7.October.2021

Our cover contributor for this month is Pete Elliott, who takes us with him on a hiking trip to the Lake District where he puts the X-T4 to work, capturing the splendour of the surroundings. He walks us through the different locations he tackled, documenting his experiences and sharing his incredible imagery of this beautiful part of the world.

Take Kayo brings us his latest instalment of Take’s Corner, where he reflects on what was shared at the X Summit Prime back in September and looks ahead to the future of Fujifilm. Next up is Dinesh Boaz who shares with us about a trip he took to Iceland, using the GFX100S to photograph the varied landscapes of the country both from the ground and the air.  Nathalie Boucry, meanwhile, gives us some personal insight into why she believes it’s so important to capture memories, and how the X Series has enabled her to do that more effectively.

Our first interview for this month is with Nick Anastasiou, who shares with us his love for street photography, his shooting process and advice for how to face the fear of shooting on the streets. Next up is our monthly ‘From the Feed’ feature, where we’re sharing four popular images from #myfujilove on Instagram, posted by Michael Ruconich, Cruz Martinez, Vito Tupado Garcia and Mike Hamersky. For our second interview this month, we’re chatting to Mathew Lodge about his 25 years of experience as a stock travel photographer, how he plans for trips ahead of time and how he coped with being stranded at home during COVID as a travel photographer.

Stepping in for Jessica Wikström and her series on easy portraits is Damien Lovegrove, where he discusses his process for achieving beautiful portraits while keeping the technical side of things very simple. Rounding off our October issue, Joe D’Agostino shares his personal guidelines for photography, moving away from the usual traditional rules of the art form to keep things meaningful and interesting to you as a photographer.
