The August 2026 edition of FujiLove Magazine brings together photography, inspiration and practical technique across a particularly varied issue.
Take Kayo opens with a look at the X-H2, arguing that Fujifilm’s most powerful X Series camera may also be its most deliberately “boring” — a professional tool built around reliability rather than style. Rebecca Douglas explores curiosity as the starting point for meaningful photography, while Greg Thurston describes how abandoning the pursuit of social-media-friendly landscape images and experimenting in his local woodlands helped him rediscover his creative motivation. Alexandre Barão takes us somewhere entirely different with Blackout: A Night in the City, a cinematic 1940s-inspired noir story photographed in Lisbon.

In Gear Talk, Rico Pfirstinger continues Exposing Right with Part 31, digging deeper into Fujifilm’s built-in HDR capabilities and different approaches to HDR bracketing. Piet Van den Eynde examines the new features in Lightroom Classic 15.4, including improved masking, duplicate detection and more intelligent assisted culling. Bobbi Lane looks at how photographers can create a genuine sense of place, moving beyond simply recording a location to communicating its atmosphere and character. Finally, Dylan Goldby offers A Quick Reality Check: a timely reminder that the equipment and techniques we already have may be more than enough — and that ultimately it is curiosity, ideas and the photographer behind the camera that make the photograph.
