Fuji photographers capture the solar eclipse

· 21.March.2015

According to BBC, millions of people in the UK and northern Europe have glimpsed the best solar eclipse in years. I was wondering how many of them were Fujifilm camera users 🙂 We received some eclipse photographs from our readers, so let me show you a couple of them, as it was truly a unique photographic opportunity.

The image above is my personal favourite. It came from Jonathan Fletcher from Burton upon Trent, Midlands in the UK. Jonathan used the Fujifilm X-T1 and the XF 55-200mm f/3.5-4.8 lens. He handheld the camera.

Next photo comes from Paul Jepps. He captured solar eclipse with the Fujifilm X-Pro1 and the XF 60mm f/2.4:

Juliana Watson set up her X-T1 and the XF 18-55mm on a tripod, flipped out the view screen, and attached a variable ND filter. Then she just kept waiting and hoped for a break in the clouds at the right moment. Until it happened:

And the last shot comes from Peggy Wijsbek. She used her X-E1 and the XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 lens. She captured the solar eclipse from Norfolk in the UK.
