Reader Spotlight: Deniel Singh

· 6.July.2015

I am Deniel Singh, 41yrs of age from Singapore, tiny Red Dot on the map! I am an amateur street & portrait photographer. Eight years ago, I purchased my 1st Canon 600D with 50mm lens and used 5D Mark II. I gained interest to pursue in photography and started shooting in Aperture Priority and Manual mode. In Dec 2013, I sold my heavy gears and I bought Fuji XT1 & a used XF35mm f1.4 lens. Early 2015 I purchase Fuji x100s as my backup body with fixed 23mm f2…

My current job in consulting allows me to travel across Asia…I can fit both bodies in my used ONA brown tan bag… I visited Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, HongKong, Shanghai & Tokyo…I love Fuji jpegs colors but I just shoot RAW! I enjoyed capturing people’s expression & pure street photography. I have a supportive wife and 3 lovely children and this allows me to spend quality time to practice my skills either indoors or outdoors. I shared my images on social media platforms/blogs, soon I discovered that I have wider audiences who appreciate my work and this pushes me further for improvement.

I sometimes do experience emotions through my pictures… Now I’m able to relax and at the same time develop a style that was very comfortable for me to work in… I hope this path will allow me to be a full time photographer…focus on travel and journalism someday! Thank you FUJI!
