FujiLove Magazine – January 2018

· 8.January.2018

Wow! Can you believe it’s 2018 already? What a year 2017 was for FujiLove – so many great issues! And we’ve got even more to look forward to this year, starting with the January issue, which has a had a little facelift! It’s the same clean and beautiful design that you’re used to, just with a bit of a refresh. We hope you enjoy it.

The content in this month’s issue is, as ever, wonderfully inspiring. Kicking things off is Ian MacDonald, who is encouraging us to make time for creativity, and to just get out and have fun with our photography. What a great idea for a New Year’s resolution!

Patrice Michellon shows us how to keep gear to a minimum by taking us through his experiences of the past year shooting with an X100 Series camera, while FujiLove’s very own Stephanie Baxter shares some of the pitfalls she ran into when taking her entire Fuji kit on a trip to Scotland in the summer of 2017.

Meanwhile, Waleed Shah shares some thoughts about the business of photography in his very informative guide, discussing everything from pricing to accounting and marketing. Next up on Jonas Rask’s Lens Guide is the XF23mmF1.4, a true street and documentary powerhouse.

As a new addition to our 2018 line-up, Olaf Sztaba presents his new series, ‘Simplicity in Seeing’, giving us a little taste of what we can expect in future editions. Kevin Pilz takes to the streets of St Peterburg, which proves itself to be an ideal location for some truly wonderful street photography.

Stu Heppell, one half of the Year of Sundays blog, is the latest creative to be interviewed. He shares with us some great insights into the worldwide adventure he is currently on with his wife, Ali, and how he is documenting it with the X-Pro2. To finish, and continuing with the theme of adventure, Steve Thomas takes us for a ride through Northern Laos, exploring what it’s like to be shooting whilst cycling through such a wonderful location.

Happy reading!
