Our cover contributor for this month is Evan Lewis, who provides us with a review of the Godox Lux Junior flash, a budget conscious option for those wanting to work with flash alongside their Fujifilm gear. He walks us through how the flash performed alongside his X-T30 and XF18mmF2 as part of his wedding photography setup.

Take Kayo brings us his latest instalment of Take’s Corner, reflecting on the past year in the Fujifilm world, taking a look at all the new releases and leaps forward that Fujifilm have made in 2022.

Meanwhile, Juan Pablo Vargas brings us a photo essay entitled ‘An Asian Story’, where he documents parts of Asian culture through capturing the daily routines of local people while exploring out and about. Next up is Chris Thomas, who is documenting some extreme weather, giving us a behind-the-scenes look at a storm-chasing trip to Tornado Valley.

As usual, we also have our monthly ‘From the Feed’ feature, where we’re sharing four popular images from #myfujilove on Instagram, posted by Vladimir Volkov, Juan Miguel Mazoy, Vincent Vallerian and Johann Kristan. In our FujiLove interview for this month, Oliver Krumes chats to Stephanie Baxter about the unpredictability of street photography, and how the experience of shooting street varies from location to location, and even within the same country.

Concluding his ‘Lost & Found’ series, Matthew Willingham shares how being introduced to the Fujifilm X Series helped him to reignite his passion for photography and changed the way he was able to interact with people whom he took photographs of.

We’re also thrilled to bring you our ‘Gear Talk’ section of FujiLove Magazine, starting with Rico Pfirstinger, who continuing his series all about camera settings that will show you how to best set up and make the most of your X cameras while avoiding common pitfalls along the way, this month looking closely at the JPEG settings in the IMAGE QUALITY SETTING menu.  Piet Van den Eynde, meanwhile, walks us through the exciting new features that can be found in the newly released Capture One 23. Next up is Bobbi Lane, who is taking another look at the Fujifilm film simulations, this time pitting the colour simulations against the black and white simulations. Rounding off the December issue is Dylan Goldby with another image deep-dive, showing us his entire process from location to post-production of a portrait of a shaman for the Apatani people shot with the GFX 50S.

Happy reading!
