Following your suggestions, I am extremely excited to announce The 1st International FujiLove Meetup: Lucerne, Switzerland, 17-18 September 2016.
Many of us have been exchanging emails, chatting online, commenting on each other’s photos in the FujiLove Facebook Readers’ Group.
Wouldn’t it be nice to get a bit more personal?
Let’s meet in Switzerland! Switzerland in September is a dream, so here is my suggestion:
schedule a trip around the meetup days. Make some holidays in Switzerland, participate in the FujiLove Meetup and… jump over to Cologne (Germany) for Photokina – the biggest photography trade show on the planet, which starts on September 20th! I will be heading there myself as well and we can expect some exciting Fujifilm announcements this year.
Sounds like a plan?
FUJILOVE MEETUP DETAILS:
– we will meet in the Seeburg Hotel (Lucerne, Switzerland) on Saturday, September 17th around noon. Seeburg Hotel is located directly at the shores of the magnificent Lake Lucerne and there some amazing photographs waiting for you to take just from the hotel front
– we will have lunch together and after that we will grab our cameras and go out photographing for the rest of the day. We will photograph the beautiful city of Lucerne and surrounding landscape – yes, you can see the Alps all over the place!
– in the evening we will have a nice dinner and some relaxing drinks and photography chat
– on Sunday, September 18th, after breakfast, I will run a quick Q&A session to answer any Fuji X related questions you may have. After that we will go out photographing again. There is so many locations to visit, so we will just decide where to go in a democratic way – we will vote! 🙂
– after a wonderful day full of photography we will sum it all up with a yummy dinner and another relaxing evening photography chat session
It is going to be wonderful. A group of Fuji X enthusiasts and photography lovers strolling around in the middle of Europe!
I am limiting the size of the meetup group to 100, so please make sure that you book your spot as soon as possible.
The cost of participating in the FujiLove Meetup is 119 USD. It will allow me to cover all the preparation costs, book separate rooms for our hotel meals and the small conference room for these two days for the Q&A session and possibly – for a post processing session Sunday afternoon, and other organisational costs we may have.
Don’t miss out and join us, because the timing could not be more perfect. Make sure you schedule your entire trip and combine the meetup with your visit to Photokina afterwards. If you have not been to Photokina before, you have to see it. And my prediction is that this year is going to be very special for us, Fujifilm X users.
